I met Mowunmi through her husband, Jide. Jide and I attended the same university and although we were friends, we had lost touch for a while. So I was truly surprised when he called me himself and booked for thier big day. It wasn't until after the booking that I met Mowunmi. She was such a soft spoken lady who wasn't such a fan of heavy makeup.
Their big day came and everything went according to plan and time; except the gele. At first I fell in love with the art and the color of the gele but when the time came to tie it, I discovered it was too soft and too short to tie. I had to cut a few shortcuts and do the best I could....you know what they say, if it cannot speak it cannot be wiser. despite that small setback she absolutely loved her look. She was ecstatic about it.
